Today is the Partisan Honor Day. It is the 70th anniversary of the partisan movement in Ukraine during the World War II. This holiday has been celebrated since October 31st, 2001.
As descendants we need to remember that hard days and honor those who made it true to live in free country.
On this day we recall the courage and selflessness of our grandparents and grand grandparents.
6200 of partisans groups acted against the fascist Germany and won the battles. 200 thousand of partisans were honored with medals and orders for courage and 223 among them were given the titles of the Heroes of the Soviet Union.
