Days honoring Taras Shevchenko, an outstanding Ukrainian poet were launched at Zaporizhzhya National University, organised and hosted by 4th year students of Slavic Philology. The meeting was opened with bouquet-laying ceremony at Taras Shevchenko’s memorial in campus building #1. giving silence minute homage to the great poet
The concert programme ‘Artist’s palette' began with Taras Shevchenko's "Zapovit" (Testament) alternative rock music performance. The hosts introduced the guests to majestic and manifold world of Taras Shevchenko, - the artist, poet and painter, - through songs, recitals and slides demonstrating paintings and drawings of Kobzar, performed by students of Philology.
Commemoration will also be continued with further round table discussions, conferences, readings and literary events.
