Second Forum in Media Psychology and Education within the “Public Criticism Workshops” International Project took place in the University. The event was organised by the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology
The project was moderated by Media Education Centre director, Assoc. Prof. of Tavria National University named after Vernadskyi (Kherson) Yulia Golodnikova and attended by the founder and editor-in-chief of DAS Management journal Oleksandr Dmytriyev, Assoc.Prof., Ph.D. in Social Communications of the Faculty of Journalism Myroslava Chabanenko, Ph.D. in Psychology of the Department of Practical Psychology Yulia Paskevska and students of Psychology, Social Sciences, Political Sciences and Journalism.
On the agenda was the issue of consumption and critical perception of the information, revealed in the report of Mediasapiens project editor-in-chief, Kyiv-Mogyla School of Journalism deputy director Diana Dutsyk. To discuss the effect produced by advanced media technologies on mass information quality and problematic issues of media criticism the Faculty of Journalism dean, D. Litt., Prof. Volodymyr Manakin and and Department of Journalistic Art, Advertising and PR Assoc. Prof. Victor Kostyuk have joined in. Social Pedagogics, Psychology and Journalism students had an animated discussion of the agenda issues, asking questions and finding solutions with the support from professors and the event moderator.
The Forum lasted for two days with the materials and discussion outcomes provided for the general public review.
