March 28-30, Kyiv, Championship of Ukraine was held in sport aerobics gathering over 360 sportsmen from 14 regions in Ukraine, Crimea and Moldova (Kishinev). Traditionally, Zaporizhzhya region team was among the strongest, represented with 11 students of ZNU.
The most successful performances were demonstrated by our sportsmen in fitness all-round events as strenflex. In 70kg weight category (men) and up to 55kg and over 55 kg category (women) the prize winners became ZNU students of Physical Education and ZNU Sports Club coach Svitlana Kokareva.
In all-round event our sportsmen ranked 1st and 2nd, whereas team of students of Social Pedagogics and Psychology and Physical Education won silver in AeroDance category (eight sportsmen).
The sportsmen had a high level preparation due to their coaches – ZNU postgraduate students Olena Chernenko and Merited Coach of Ukraine, President of Zaporizhzhya Regional Federation of Sports Aerobics & Fitness Borys Kokarev.
Special congratulations to Svitlana Kokareva on awarding Master of Sports of Ukraine title and setting up a new record of Ukraine in Strenflex.
