Faculty of Physics (ZNU) celebrated its anniversary last week. Traditionally, intellectual contests, sports events and student party were held on that day.
Decorated with multi-coloured balloons and posters, ZNU campus building 1 was spreading out good mood ambiance amid students and professors on that day. Later in the evening students of Physics had a 
party at ZNU Recreation Hall “Tetianyn Den” (Tetiana’s Day). Besides, within the framework of Faculty Day anniversary, a series of sports events have been held earlier as mini-tournament in football for Commonwealth Cup between men’s and women’s teams with their rivals from the Faculty of Management.
Within academic year 2011/2012 students of Physics were actively engaged in all-University sports events, having shown great results. In particular, women’s basketball team became the 1st winner in the University competitions, whereas men’s team was 3rd.
In chess tournament Faculty of Physics was 1st and in draughts it gained 3rd place. Apart of this, students of Physics took part in social action “Healthy Lifestyle is Fashionable” for promoting healthy lifestyle, where they became prize winners.
