April, 20 the 11th Regional Patriotic Arts Contest ‘Legacy 2012’ was held in Zaporizhzhya in V. Magara Academic Musical Theatre. ‘Cantilena’ studio (Centre for after-class affairs) singers Mykola Bilyk and Igor Pilipenko represented our University at the contest.
We remind that Mykola Bilyk (Faculty of Pilology) and Igor Pilipenko (Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration) became 1st and 2nd winners respectively at the local tour in the nomination: ‘Modern Patriotic Song’, thus making their way through to final tour in the contest.
To participate in regional tour the students have undertaken thorough preparation showing great results. Vocal performance by Mykola Bilyk was approved as the best one, thus winning 1st prize, whereas Igor Pilipenko was awarded special contest prize.
Nota bene: The contest is carried out within the frame of Regional Patriotic Education of Youth Programme. Its major goal lies in drawing public attention to problematic issues of patriotic and spiritual education of youth and assisting gifted young people in unlocking their creativity.
