A week dedicated to Natural Sciences was held at the College of Economics and Law. Within its framework wall posters contest, lectures, quizzes etc. were launched.
The week resulted in round table meeting on “Global Environmental Problems”, attended by 1st year student s who presented their subject-related reports. Students used video- and photo data, as well as interactive methods making the material more catching and comprehensible, involving the participants into the subject.
According to the Department of Academic Affairs methodologist Natalia Solovyova, studying environmental problems of native city by undergraduate students is a first step to recognizing global humanity challenges and perceiving oneself as an integrate part of a big world.
The following subjects were discussed by the 1st year students: Overall Condition of Zaporizhzhya Environment, Biosphere and Water Basins Pollution, Soil Decay, Poaching Analysis and Waste Pollution. The students outlined the problems along with their further analysis and consecutive approaches and ways to resolving them.
