Online presentation, workshop and interactive test access to Passport GMID data base was held in ZNU. The event has been carried out within the frame of “E-Library ofUkraine: creating “ELibUkr” Knowledge Centres in Ukrainian universities” and held by Passport GMID information system manager Kateryna Bondarenko (Euromonitor International Company, Great Britain, Lithuania), with its ZNU coordinator - Scientific Library director Valentyna Gerasymova.
The workshop was attended by ZNU professors and Scientific Library staff. Euromonitor International (www.euromonitor.com) is a company specializing in strategic investigation of various FMCG markets and is a global leader in world strategic information and analytical studies.
Passport GMID is a source of information for quite a range of scientific centres, libraries, universities studying such courses as Economics and Business, Management and Marketing, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Country-specific Studies, Geography, Statistics, Tourism, IT and Communications, Medicine, and is recognized as cross-disciplinary resource of information.
Passport GMID contains data including statistics, analytics and reviews on World market of staple goods, ratings and companies’ profiles in leading countries, etc.
According to Scientific Library director Valentyna Gerasymova, Passport GMID will be helpful for students of Economics and Management, in particular, as it contains statistic data and charts that might serve as additional resource for students’ term papers and professors’ lectures.
Free test access to Passport GMID resource will be available from May 3rd to 17th from ZNU local network and E-resources Hall (campus bld. 2, room 126).
