ZNU student of the Faculty of Physical Education, International Distinguished Master of Sport Alexander Nadtoka took silver as a member of four's men crew. From 14th till 16th September the 2012 European Rowing Championships has been taking place in the Italian city of Varese. 448 athletes from 36 countries participated in this European regatta. Ukrainian team was represented in almost all disciplines of this sport.
In the hard finale race, where Estonia team was the undisputed leader, Ukrainian quartet of Yriy Ivanov, Ivan Futruk, Aleksander Nadtoka and Ivan Dovgodko fought for second and third place against the teams from Russia and Slovenia. During the last 500 meters Ukrainians were able to jump from the fifth position to the second, appeared ahead of Slovenia, which finished third, and the team of Russia, which finished fourth.
Congratulations to Aleksander Nadtoka and Honored Coach of Ukraine, Master of Sports, head of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sport, candidate of pedagogical sciences, docent Andrey Vyacheslavovich Svatev on the silver medals of the European Championship!
