October 12, the students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology (specialization: Spanish and Literature) celebrated the national Spanish holiday, so called Día de la Hispanidad. The celebration took place on the small stage of the 2-nd Academic building during the big break. This holiday marks the day on which Christopher Columbus and his crew first landed in the New World in 1492.
The participants presented fantastic performances: two stage productions of the second year students – “¿Qué hora es?”, Spanish version of X Factor, dance and music show presented by the freshmen and songs performed by Evgeniya Kondrashova. General Knowledge of Spain Quiz ended the celebration. In addition, students prepared a delicious surprise – Spanish cuisine: tortilla, tapas, gazpacho and well-known drink sangria. The third floor of the 2-nd Academic building was festively decorated and all guests were welcomed by the presenter of the celebration - the second year student Oleksandr Denisenko dressed in a suit of Columbus.
