More than 700 Prospective Students Visited ZNU Day of Entrant

October 21, ZNU was visited by high school pupils and their parents from all over the city and region – in total, 700 people. They came to our university on the Day of Entrant – the traditional event at ZNU, where future students were able to learn more about the chosen specialties, this year's admissions process and the benefits of learning it at ZNU.

Organizers combined the official part of the event, during which the entrants had the opportunity to meet with the university's administration and get answers to questions related to the entry rules, with the festive program. The concert was prepared by ZNU Center for Cultural Work.
ZNU Rector, Professor Mykola Frolov assured the prospective students that ZNU was a right choice for them. Each of the students will be able to choose a profession to his taste with such a wide range of specialties, which are trained on the basis of our university. Also, our university one of the first in Ukraine gives annexes of the European standard and ZNU material and human resorses contribute to the training process in order to give a high quality modern education.
Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Center for Educational Quality Assessment (DCEQA) Marina Gorbenko-Hvastunova told the audience about the main stages of entry to the university. She advised the entrants to pay special attention to the conditions of registration required to participate in testing and reminded about the opportunity to try their hand at the trial tests organized by DCEQA, which has been holding at ZNU for several years now.
Executive Secretary of the Admission Committee Stanislav Ivanenko said the finally approved by the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine conditions of the university's entry in 2013 will be published on the official sites of the Ministry and our university at the beginning of December 2012. Stanislav Valentinovich offered to contact ZNU Admission Committee about any questions regarding admissions company.
Head of ZNU Preparatory Faculty for Prospective Students, Docent Irina Bakalenko wished all the participants to choose ZNU, where they could not only get a quality education, but also find the place in modern life. She briefed the entrants about the the benefits provided by the preparatory courses and reminded that enrollment for courses was ongoing.
Event's hosts – student of ZNU College of Economics and Law Mykola Kopilovskiy and student of the Faculty of Philology Katerina Danshina – told all present about the advantages of studying at our university and our talented students, presented the university's administration, deans of the faculties, directors of ZNU colleges.
The multimedia presentation of ZNU, its faculties, colleges, educational and training programs was demonstrated during the official part of the event. Also, each guest received a copy of the special edition of the newspaper «Zaporizhzhya University» and faculty's booklet with useful information.
Wonderful songs were presented by student of the Faculty of Law Igor Lyushanskiy, representative of the Faculty of Physical Education Evgen Serkov, student of ZNU Economics Faculty Alina Sur, students of the Faculty of Philology Oleksiy Vorojeev and Julia Danilyuk, student of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Bogdan Kornelyuk, students' duet of the Faculty of Journalism - Victoria Nazarenko and Julia Fedorenko etc. The audience liked the performances of the choreographic collectives (ZNU Center for Cultural Work) «D.A.L.S.» and «Prototype». The latter consists of this year's freshmen, by the way.
The students continued to demonstrate their talents after the official part – during the tour around ZNU faculties. The future students were acquainted with ZNU material and technical base, lecturers and students, told about the faculties' achievements and perspectives for their graduates.
ZNU guests were able to visit the thematic exhibition prepared by the staff of ZNU Scientific Library. In particular, a selection of books that can help them in preparation for external assessment.
