The students of SPP Department arranged the high day for the pupils of Zaporizhzhian regional center for social rehabilitation of children with limited abilities
November, 28 on the eve of International Day of people with limited abilities, students of the Social Pedagogy and Psychology Department of Zaporizhian National University held the social meeting “Let’s be friends”. They attended municipal institution “Zaporizhzhian regional center of social rehabilitation of children with limited abilities” of Zaporizhzhian regional council with the bright and funny show.
Such activities already became traditional for this Department: annually in the end of November and in the beginning of December its representatives attend boarding schools of Zaporizhzhian region with concert program.
This time the students of 1st,2nd, and 5th courses of “Theater Arts” major and 4th course of “Social Pedagogy” major together with the leader of the SPP Department Kristina Bondareva arranged real feast for pupils of social rehabilitation of children with the limited abilities Center (boarding school №6).
Little viewers with the real excitements met performances and jokes of the volunteers in the clown’s suits. The great liveliness was called with the “actors” of puppy theater – hedgehog and bear, which were talking about what real friendship really is. The children took part in the competitions with pleasure: they energetically tried to guess, what kind of animal our guests are showing, they cheerily responded to the offer to sing children songs and to paint on the posters, what exactly they image friendship is. The final song artists-students song together with the viewers – the children and teachers of the Center. Also, just to remember this meeting with volunteers, pupils of the Center got bright bracelets-amulets and balloons.
At the finals students promised to come many more times to visit children and got sincere thank from the Center coworkers.
Head of the Regional center of social rehabilitation of children with limited abilities Ludmila Kolesnikova says about cooperation with Zaporizhzhyan National University the following: "We are very grateful to the University for such activities, they are a real feasts for our children. But we cooperate with ZNU not only during the holidays. Last year our teachers attended the international seminar of music therapy, which took place in ZNU. During this activity we have reached agreement for closer cooperation with the head of the Department, professor Galina Lokareva. 
Also we cooperated with Physical Rehabilitation chair of Physical Education Department. We really need constant support of volunteers, and there are a lot of students of ZNU among them. Some of them, after graduating, come to work to our Center on permanent basis.
Also recently we addressed to the administration of the university with the request about methodical help: unfortunately, it became more frequent that people address to us with such problem as infantile autism. We would like to find qualified specialist of this question and we know, that ZNU has scientist, who study such problem. As you see, cooperation of the Center with university is versatile and useful, and we hope that in further it will remain the same”.
