The Act On Measures to Prevent Tobacco Use in Zaporizhzhya National University no. 467 of 21.12.2012 entered into force.
This document is approved in accordance with the Law of Ukraine no. 2899-IV of 22.09.05 On Measures to Prevent and Reduce the Consumption of Tobacco Products and Their Harmful Influence on the Population’s Health.
Article 13 of this Act provides a list of places where tobacco, electronic cigarette, hookah smoking is prohibited. Among other public places, the third item indicates: "in the territory of the higher educational establishments".
The first paragraph of the Act says: «Prohibit smoking in the premises and the territory of Zaporizhzhya National University». The disciplinary penalties as prescribed by the internal labor regulations, approved by Conference of labor collective on October 17, 2012 will be received by its violators.
