July 12 in the framework of the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan were swimming competition. Ukrainian athlete, Zaporizhzhya National University student Sergiy Frolov won two medals: silver - in swimming on the 800 m freestyle and a bronze medal in distance of 1500 m.
The distance in 800 m in freestyle Sergiy overcame with a score of 7.51,02. This result is a new record for Ukraine at this distance. Gold medal won Japanese Kohei Yamamoto with a score of 7.49,96.
Bronze medal won athlete on the 1500 m distance in freestyle, passing it with a score of 15.02,63. American Shawn Ryan (14.57,33) and Japanese Kohei Yamamoto (15.00,15) bypassed Sergiy.
We remind you, that for Ukraine Sergiy's record was not the first. It is the fifth time, he is the author of a new record of the country. Until now have not beaten his previous youthful results at distances of 400, 800 and 1500 distances in freestyle. And the results for 1500 m among adults, which he set at the Olympic Games in London.
