At the Faculty of Journalism of ZNU held the opening conference "Ukrainian national education: realities, trends and prospects"

October 3-4 at Zaporizhzhya National University held opening ceremony and plenary session of the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference "Ukrainian national education: realities, trends and prospects". Event organizers - Zaporizhzhya National University, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Yaroslav Mudry International Educational Foundation and the Faculty of Journalism of ZNU. Informational Sponsors of the event were newspapers "Day" and "Voice of Ukraine".

On behalf of the Rector of ZNU and the University administration to the audience with a welcoming speech addressed Vice-Rector for Educational Research, D.Sc. in Engineering Volodymyr Volkov. He expressed hope for a fruitful work of participants who have joined forces to discuss topical issues.
Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor Volodymyr Manakin in his message said that a large number of participants shows interest in the topic of the conference and the issues proposed for discussion.
Moderator of the meeting was Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Journalism, Head of Journalism Department, Ph.D., associate professor Viktor Kostyuk.
The first with the report on theme "Archaeological heritage and archaeological activity as a factor in the development of a new trend of modern pedagogy" performed Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor of Social and Public Communication of Institute of Sociology, Psychology and Social Communications of the M.P. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University, Head of museum work Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism Oleksandr Kisliy. He drew parallels between pedagogical activity and archeology, noting that the terms "archaeological education" and "teaching archeology" are synonymous. Oleksandr Evgenovich considered such a concept as "black archeologists" and presented a new vision of archaeological research methods.
President of the Yaroslav Mudryj International Educational Foundation, Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor Valentyna Strilko presented the paper "The purpose and objectives of Ukrainian pedagogical education beginning of the XXI century". She drew attention to the concepts such as "Ukrainian patriotism" and "Ukrainian nationalism". Valentyna Vasylivna said that education of contemporary youth must begin with a studying of Ukrainian traditions and customs, history of Ukraine and Ukrainian language - it's the most important thing what must possess a real Ukrainian.
Director of "Regional Center of patriotic education of youth" of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council Maryna Shkonda described the activities of their institution. She also introduced the latest developments of the Center and about realized projects.
Ph.D., associate professor of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Lubov Kalashnyk presented the report "National education of orphans in a system of care (in example of China)".
Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor of Journalism Department of ZNU Pavlo Miroshnichenko presented the paper "The features of the national picture of the world in modern radio programs: an attempt of content-analytic study". Pavlo Vasylyovych gave a percentage statistics of languages usage (Ukrainian, Russian and English) on radio by journalists and ordinary people in everyday life.
Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Journalism, Head of Department of Journalism, Ph.D., associate professor Viktor Kostyuk presented a report on "Problems of the form and content of national education of students." Viktor Volodymyrovych shared with the audience his own experience of this issue.
After the plenary session the participants were able to participate in the round table discussion "Legislative support of national education".
The conference also provides 4 meeting sessions directions: "Theory and Practice of Ukrainian national education", "Theory and Methods of preparing future teachers for the national education of pupils", "National education of university students by the example of the study subjects of humanitarian and socio-economic cycles" , "The role of the media in the national education of youth".
