October 5 Zaporizhzhya National University representatives took part in the celebration of 243 anniversary of the foundation of Zaporizhzhya and 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city from fascist occupation, as well as traditional Pokrovska Fair. According to a tradition specialists of the Center for cultural and mass work and the Division of Educational work of ZNU prepared a concert program and organized a greeting for the holiday guests.
This year's ceremony, held at the cascade of fountains "Rainbow", was attended by First Deputy Chairman of ZODA Viktor Emelianenko, Deputy Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council Svitlana Abdurakchmanova, Zaporizhzhya Mayor Oleksandr Sin and other officials. On behalf of our university came to congratulate holiday guests First Vice-Rector of ZNU Oleksandr Bondar.
In general, the preparation and implementation of celebration on the quay and the cascade of fountains "Rainbow" involved about 150 representatives of ZNU, including employees of structural subdivisions of the University, members of the creative studios and volunteers (students of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Foreign Languages).
Holiday gifts for inhabitants and guests of the city were bright performances of amateur art groups from Zaporizhzhya. Among them - the presentations of choreographic studio D.A.L.S. and vocalists studio "Kantylena" of the Center for cultural and mass work of ZNU. As usual, special song compositions were performed by Mykola Bilyk (Faculty of Philology), Alina Sur (Faculty of Economics) and others. Adults and children especially liked to take part in a fun animation mass, which staged Director of the Center for cultural and mass work Yuliya Yanko and artistic director Andriy Bondarenko.
Representatives of ZNU awarded symbols of Zaporizhzhya - bouquets with oak twigs - head of regional administration on Zhovtnevyj District Oleksandr Manohin and First Vice-Rector of ZNU Oleksandr Bondar.
