October 14 in Zaporizhzhya National University held an information seminar on "Presentation of the project UNO on industrial development issues (UNIDO)", "Promoting of adaptation and implementation of efficient resources and cleaner production through the establishment and operation of Cleaner Production Centre in Ukraine". Event was organized by Kiev Municipal innovative industrial organization of employers Center of efficient resources and cleaner production.
The event attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Research, D.E., professor Victor Gristchak, as well as researchers, professors, associate professors, graduates of our University.
Representatives of the Center of efficient resources and cleaner production were informed all participants about the aims and objectives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. So, they said that the aim of this project is to improve resource efficiency, competitiveness and reduce the impact of industry on the environment of Ukraine. Also, participants have learned about conditions for participation in the project for researchers who have experience of research and able to solve complex technical, scientific, economic technical and other problems faced by enterprises.
Project activities aimed at introducing a methodology UNIDO of cleaner production to ensure national industry with the necessary tools for sustainable development. This allows domestic enterprises to ensure that the manufacturing processes with national and international quality and environment.
Coordinator (beneficiary) the project is the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Contractor - National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". Donors of this project are the Government of the Swiss Confederation and Austria Republic. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) providing logistical support of the project and transfer methods and experience of similar Centres in over 50 countries worldwide.
At the end of the workshop, participants discussed opportunities for cooperation Zaporizhzhya National University with Center of efficient resources and cleaner production.
