October 24 at the Faculty of Economics of ZNU held the opening ceremony of VIII International scientific conference "Transformation processes in the national economy and regions". Among its organizers - the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, All-Ukrainian Union of scientists-economists, Zaporizhzhya National University, Khmelnitsk National University, Belgorod State University, Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives, University of Economics in Katovicy and others.
More than 250 participants, of which 48 - foreign guests gathered to discuss the current issues of the economy both in Ukraine and abroad. To the presidium of the conference plenary session included: Vice-Rector for Educational Research and Academic Affairs Nataliya Grozovska, Dean of the faculty of Economics, professor Alla Cherep, guests of ZNU - heads of an audit firms Larysa Tsereteli (firm "Mirage") and Iryna Dyadyura (company "Kapital"), the deputy director of "Learning Center "Aktyv"" Iryna Grysyuk and head of the company "Balance Club" in Zaporizhzhya region Iryna Nefedova.
Opening plenary meeting, Vice-Rector for Educational Research and Academic Affairs Nataliya Grozovska welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work. She also noted the achievements national and foreign scholars for economic development as separate regions of our country and the whole Ukraine.
Dean of the faculty of Economics, professor Alla Cherep also welcomed the scientists - conference participants - and described the economic situation which has developed in our country. Despite the decrease of some parameters in the industrial and agricultural sectors in the current year, there has been a gradual increase in overall economic performance. But there are a number of urgent problems that need to be addressed to specialists of economic field.
That these issues were devoted to speeches at the plenary session. His vision of effective mechanisms to overcome these problems, suggested specialists of ZNU – Professor of the Department of International Economics and Economic Theory Volodymyr Vyshnyakov ("Prospects for the development integration processes of Ukraine"), associate professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing Valentyna Goncharova ("Problems and prospects of small and medium enterprises in Ukraine"), senior teacher of the Department of Human Resource Management and Marketing Valeriya Tymoshyk ("Management of pricing in the mechanical engineering in Ukraine"),postgraduate of the Department of Economic Cybernetics Viktoriya Shapovalova ("Innovative approach to prognosis of the dynamics prices of real estate", the supervisor - professor Nataliya Maksyshko) and others. 
Representative of "Learning Center "Aktyv"" Iryna Grysyuk spoke about the company's work, distance learning opportunities and prospects for cooperation with ZNU. She also presented three gift certificates for training at the Center for Learning "Aktyv" to the best students of the Faculty of Economics.
At the end of the meeting held discussions of the reports. Particular attention of listeners aroused analysis of causes and effects of inhibition of transformation processes in Ukraine, presented by associate professor of the Department of Finance and Credit Taras Shevchenko. The speaker outlined the investment situation in our country, and identified a number of urgent issues which require immediate consideration. The discussion in the hall also raised the issue of the pension system in Ukraine and in the whole system of administration.
Participants continued to work on sectional meetings in five directions.
Also, scientists were able to see the exhibition of scientific and methodological literature in economics "Ukraine: economy + Innovation" prepared by the Scientific Library of ZNU.
