At the Faculty of Law of ZNU held a workshop dedicated to the practice of the European Court of Human Rights
November 1 at the Law Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University held a regular seminar on the European Court of Human Rights. The event was organized by representatives of Zaporizhzhya branch Students League Lawyers Association of Ukraine and Scientific Society of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Law of ZNU.
Evgen Artomov - moderator of the event proposed a new format of the meeting. Workshop participants were given the topics beforehand and provided the opportunity to review the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights concerning these topics.
The first report was presented by a Law Faculty student Vladyslav Bilokur, who elaborated on the relationship between the concepts of "legal" and "lawful".
After discussing this report the word given to Sergiy Tyapkin. In his speech, he revealed concept of "quality of law" and its interpretation of the European Court of Human Rights. Among the participants there was a lively discussion about the main quality criterion of law. After all those present came to the conclusion that the main criterion for the quality of the law is the practice of its implementation, i.e. its value and benefits for individual subjects, and society as a whole.
Last presented his report the head of Zaporizhzhya branch Students League Lawyers Association of Ukraine Ivan Shumeyko, who considered the difficult question of finality of judgments as an integral part rule of law principle.
