November 16 in Energodar held the annual vocational event "Day of future student". The event was organized by the Scientific and Methodological Center Department of Education of Energodar City Council of Zaporizhzhya region. Among the participants were representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University.
With every year this event is gaining in popularity among both pupils and parents of Energodar and near populated areas and among universities. This time the event was attended by 20 universities of I-II and III-IV levels of accreditation from Kharkiv, Sevastopol, Odessa, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Melitopol, Berdyansk, Dneprorudnoe and Energodar. The exhibition was attended by nearly 2000 students, parents and teachers.
The main purpose of this event is vocational work and help young people in their professional self-determination: formation of motivation to conscious choice of future profession, providing for everyone relevant and useful information about areas of training, the conditions for higher education and future employment prospects.
High school students visited the exhibition, accompanied by class teachers. This enabled us to avoid the crowds and efficiently organize visitors awareness.
From Zaporizhzhya National University participated in the event university professors from different Faculties, representatives of the Preparatory Department and the Economics and Law College. They acquainted guests of the exhibition with educational opportunities of the Faculties, especially entrance campaign in 2014, spoke about the benefits of studying in ZNU, answered numerous questions. Also, all willing received brochures of university Faculties, and vocational number of the newspaper "Zaporizhzhya University".
Head of the Preparatory Department Iryna Bakalenko during the individual consultations with entrants explained them how to navigate among a variety of occupations and educational institutions that offer their educational services. Iryna Mykolaivna put emphasis on faculties and specialties that are the most prestigious and demand to meet the requirements of today, said the benefits of higher education in our university, described the material and technical base of scientific and pedagogical potential of ZNU collective.
Particular attention was drawn to future entrants to the need for high-quality preparation for the External Independent Evaluation tests. ZNU have all the opportunities to help today's high school students to learn better the material of curriculum and subsequently become students of Zaporizhzhya National University. Thus, the specialists of our university offered pupils to undergo training on the training courses that will last until May and allow for substantial knowledge and help young people to adapt psychologically to study at university. High school students also reported on conducting in March of a free trial trainings in ZNU on all subjects of External Independent Evaluation tests.
Entrants and their parents showed a great interest on information they received from specialists of our university. In addition, representatives of the local media interviewed the staff of Zaporizhzhya National University, thus demonstrating need of our city residents to highlight information about ZNU.
