At the Faculty of Biology of ZNU were awarded the winners of the contest "The best expert in landscape design"
November 29 biologists of Zaporizhzhya National University held a traditional annual competition of students works "The best expert in landscape design". To participate in the contest, students of Biological Faculty and students of the Scientific Society of talented youth in ZNU "Young University" should have prepared a designed projects, florariums and photographs.
The composition of judicial board of the competition included: Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Plant Genetics Victor Lyakh, associate professor Vira Kopiyka, Olena Dubova, Iryna Polyakova and Svitlana Yakovleva-Nosar.
The contest of student works was held in four sections. The first section - contest of projects for greening and landscape design of Zaporizhzhya Regional Youth Center. In it won 4th year student Olexander Bytkivsky.
The second section - a contest of desktop florariums. It was attended by 17 students. The winners of this competition were:
1st place – 3rd year students Tetyana Redka and Olesya Gnatok with the work of "Tea in the forest";
2nd place – 2nd year student Vladyslav Maylunets with the work of "Garden of living stones".
And the audience award, received students Maria Polzyk, Stanislav Kryvoruchko and Mykhaylo Copan for the work "Shards of History".
In the third section - photo contest on the theme "Landscape Design in Zaporizhzhya" - won 1st year student Valentyna Bila.
There was also held a quiz in the form of rapid survey. The participants of this competition demonstrated their logical thinking and gain knowledge. As a result of a long struggle prize was shared between a student of 1st and 3rd year Mariya Polzyk and Zoreslava Rybkina.
It should be noted that students scientific society of gifted youth in ZNU "Young University" also took part in the competition of student works.
During the ceremony of awarding, the Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Plant Genetics Victor Lyakh presented certificates to the winners, and 8th grade pupils of the gymnasium № 28 and Scientific Association for Gifted Youth in ZNU "Young University" Vladyslava Panova and Milena Goncharenko – Diploma for active participation in a contest of desktop florariums.
All works will decorate the rooms and building of the Biological Faculty, and will be used for training purposes.
