3 December, to the World Day of Disabled Persons, 4th year student the Faculty of Physical Education (specialization "Physical Education"), led by Professor Nina Baykina visited the rehabilitation center "Dzherelo".
In studying the subject matter "Adaptive physical education" students have visited several times the Center and get acquainted with its students. So this time they gladly responded to the offer of Nina Hryhorivna prepare children for a festive program. Students within two weeks of contests to choose the games, trying to make the event interesting for pupils of different forms (5th to 12th) and with different diagnoses.
Students of the Centre are happy to have met students of the Faculty of Physical Education - Andriy Zayets, Yana Kondratenko, Volodymyr Guzya, Valeriy Malysh, Anastasiya Shandruk, Kateryna Podryz, Stanislav Leonov, Rustem Rustymov, Olens Bohma and others. Great delight in children caused performance of university team of fitness aerobics, as well as individual performance of Yevgeniya Osetynska with the program "Kontem". Children willingly take part in games "The discoverers", "Sniper", "Islands", "Sun", "Turnip" and others. Although the rules had to explain by means of sign language interpreters, all children successfully coped with the tasks entrusted to them, and deservedly received certificates and prizes, which previously prepared the representatives of ZNU.
According to professor Nina Baykina, cooperation between Zaporizhzhya National University and the Rehabilitation Centre "Dzherelo" has been going on for 45 years. During that time, physical education students regularly visit the center, learn to find common language with children with special needs, because it is necessary for a successful professional formation of future teachers.
All participants reported that the meeting with pupils the rehabilitation center had impressed them. She again showed that children with disabilities are not different from their healthy peers, but need more attention and warmth. Therefore, students expressed a desire to visit a rehabilitation center again to present children the feast.
