December 13, on the eve of Justiciaries Day, Law Faculty students of Zaporizhzhya National University visited the Appeal Court of Zaporizhzhya region on Open Day. At the event performed Chief Judge of Zaporizhzhya region, professor Viktor Gorodovenko, Dean of the Faculty of Law, professor Tetyana Kolomoets and associate professor of History and Theory of Law Oleksiy Makarenkov. Students visit to the Appeal Court of Zaporizhzhya region held in the framework of Law Week at the Law Faculty.
Host of the event was Head of the Staff of Zaporizhzhya region Appeal Court Inna Pruhlo.She conducted a tour for students and introduced them to the activities of judges and court staff. In particular, students had the opportunity to visit the computer audience and the court registry, see how departments support of judicial chambers with civil and criminal cases. Also, students are acquainted with the activities of assistants judges and court managers service. Guests visited also one of the best courtroom, where held a video conference, and visited cabinets of Head of the Court Viktor Gorodovenko and Deputy Head of the Court Oksana Krymska. Heads answered the students questions about the work of the Court.
In addition, during the event, students attended a lecture and watched a video about the activities of the European Court of Human Rights, and made their reports on the authority of judicial power as one of the basic principles of civil society.
At the end of the event Head of the Appeal Court of Zaporizhzhya region Viktor Gorodovenko thanked the students for coming and gave them gifts.
