February 22 at the Faculty of Law of ZNU, supported by Dean, D.Sc. in Law Tetyana Kolomoyets, hosted the workshop with the director of the Center for training and retraining of civil servants in Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Lyubov Yanovska on "Theoretical and practical aspects of the legal regulation of the entrance of youth into the civil service".
The event was attended by 2nd-5th years students of the Law Faculty, postgraduates of the Faculty of Law Departments and the Faculty of Law teachers of ZNU.
Lyubov Ivanivna told in detailed about features of the service check, competitive selection and social mechanisms to attract young people to the management activities in government. Special attention was paid to comply with ethical requirements that relate to future civil servants.
A lively discussion among the participants raised questions on the issue of law and the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service" from 2011 (with effect from 01.01.2015) about the specifics of the legal status of civil servant.
The participants of the master class was conducted detailed comparative characteristic of the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service" in the edition of 1993 and the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service" in the edition of 2011. Also, the focus was on account of international experience with the existence of different models of public service.
After the master class and taking into account results of discussion, participants made a number of proposals to harmonize existing legislation that regulates the features of youth admission on civil service.
