The staff of the Faculty of Physics of Zaporizhzhya National University deeply mourns the death of Dmytro Mykolayovych Zhmetko, Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor of Physics of Metals Department who passed away February 23, 2014.
Dmytro Mykolayovych entered Zaporizhzhya State Pedagogical Institute in 1964, and since that time it did not abandon the walls of our educational institution. In 1987, at the Moscow State University, he defended his thesis on "Magnetic anisotropy induced in coated anisotropic electro-technical steel".
His colleagues, students and friends remembered Dmytro Mykolayovych as humble, honest, hard-working, sensitive man, a true professional of his craft.
"None of us can remember him unattended. He was of those who can not hide behind the secular cares a smile or a sharp word. Eternal concerns focus was his calling card, second nature".
"None of us remember him in the spotlight. Articles in leading international scientific journals, new subjects and dramatic changes in the subjects he taught, and even their birthdays - all this took place quietly, in due course, without much of hype. Prominent unless there were successes of his students and postgraduate students ..."
"None of us can remember him ignorant, superficial, confused to the scientific or educational problems".
Light, eternal memory to Teacher!!!
