Today in ZNU started the final scientific conference of the All-Ukrainian contest of students' research work in the field of "Biological Sciences". It will continue until March 14.
The event brought together winners of the first round of the All-Ukrainian contest of students' research works in the field of "Biological Sciences" - students of Ukrainian universities from different regions of our country, teachers accompanying them, members of the branch committee and the organizing committee of the event. Notably, Faculty of Biology of ZNU for several years now the base for the second stage of the contest in this field.
Inauguration of the conference was to the sound of the national anthem of Ukraine. With greetings to participants and guests turned the Rector of ZNU 
Mykola Frolov, Vice-Rector for Science and Research Victor Gristchak and Dean of Biological Faculty Liudmyla Omelianchyk. Mykola Oleksandrovych noted: «We are always glad to accept in our university guests from all over the country. By your hard work and research activities you prove that Ukraine has excellent prospects for growth and great future!». Representatives of the administration of our university wished contestants inspiration victories and good traveling experience to Zaporozhye. Participants and guests are also welcomed Ukraine songs of singers studio "Kantylena" of the Center of Culture of ZNU – Yelyzaveta Verba and Anastasiia Ashyfina.
Professor Liudmyla Omelianchyk briefly told the guests about the work and activities of the biological faculty of ZNU. She invited students bachelors after graduation to join our university magistracy, where they can realize their scientific potential and will have a great opportunity, especially to take part in the International Double Degree Program.

Professor of the Department of Immunology and Biochemistry Nadiia Kolisnyk, Head of the Department of Landscape Design and Phytogenetics Viktor Liakh, Head of the Department of General and Applied Ecology and Zoology Oleksandr Rylskyi, Head of the Department of Game Management and Ichthyology Valerii Domnich, professor of the Department of Immunology and Biochemistry Oleksandr Frolov, Dean of the Faculty of Biology of Drohobych State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franko Svitlana Voloshanska, professor of the Department of Anatomy, Human and Animal Physiology of Luhansk National UniversityVitalii Sheiko, associate professor of Human and Animal Physiology Department of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spryn and assistant of the Department of Plant Physiology of Donetsk National University Kostiantyn Dereval. The organizing committee of the event headed the Rector of ZNU, professor Mykola Frolov.
The meeting of sections will last two days. During this time, students will perform on reports of two sections: "Botany, bioecology, plant physiology and zoology" (headed by Dean of the Faculty of Biology of Drohobych State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franko Svitlana Voloshanska) and "Genetics, Human and Animal Physiology, Microbiology, Biotechnology" (headed by associate professor of Human and Animal Physiology Department of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spryn).
With its impressions of participation in scientific events shared its participants. So,
associate professor of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spryn noted: 
- For the third consecutive year I enter into the the sector Committee. I note that Zaporizhzhya National University always stands out for its hospitality and good organization of such events. There is always a favorable to students and participants atmosphere, committee members evaluate work very fairly. In addition, participation in such events makes it possible to meet and communicate with colleagues, share experiences and exchange ideas. Students here are finding friends and associates. And in competitions contributes to their formation as future scientists and, in my opinion, always has the prospect. So, last year's contestants scientific works of biology, students of our university Yuliia Zahaikan and Serhii Kushnirenko, intend to continue their education and research activities in postgraduate of our university.
5 th year student of Poltava National Pedagogical University of specialty "Biology" Liudmyla Denysenko told:
- The first time I take part in this competition. The excellent organization of the event: we were met at the station, was brought to ZNU, posted at the hostel, the organizers have responded to our request. I got a wonderful impression of your city as well as the Biological Faculty: we were shown lecture rooms and laboratories, was introduced to the teachers of the Faculty, we were able to examine the Zoological Museum. At the conference, I will speak on "Dendroflora of microdistrict parks "Almaznyi", Poltava". In my work the results of a study of green space park, which was first investigated in order to improve its capacity as a recreation area. While I dream of becoming a teacher, I believe that my scientific researches will be helpful in organizing and conducting familiarization tours for schoolchildren to the green recreational areas.
Guests also had the opportunity to examine the book exhibition prepared for the conference by the Scientific Library of ZNU and the Biological Faculty. The exhibition presents the scientific publications of the Faculty on "Actual problems of natural sciences", educational literature under "Environment", "Biology", "Chemistry", "Nanotechnologies" and periodicals and professional journals, theses. Also, all interested persons had access to electronic resources and databases that are at the disposal of the library.
