March 28 was held a traditional contest Olympiad for students of the Biological Faculty "Best environmental expert". For participants also presented a regional environmental programs dedicated to World Water Day.
In the Olympiad took part more than 30 students of 2nd-4th years of the Faculty of Biology. The competitive commissions headed Dean of the Faculty, professor Liudmyla Omelianchyk. Coordinator of the event was assistant professor of the Department of General and Applied Ecology and Zoology Nataliia Pozmohova.
The contest was held in two stages. The theoretical round the competitive commission members asked questions, were counting points and determine the winners. To participate in the second round of their reports on the results of case studies presented three students-biologists. They are the winners. So, the 1st place shared between student of Magistracy Svitlana Streshna (theme of the work "The structure of groups dreissena's polymorphic littoral zone of Zaporizhzhya water reservoir") and 5th year student Maryna Osadcha (theme of the work "State of pancreatic islet cells and paneth animals at conjugate actions of hypoxia and aluminum chloride"). 2nd place took 4th year student Oleksandra Voloshyna with the work of "Assessing adaptive capacity of patients with chronic bronchitis in an industrial region".
Students and teachers also presented a regional environmental programs. Director of Environmental Culture Center in Zaporizhzhya Nataliia Pichkur introduced a draft environmental recycling of batteries and accumulators "Ekolayt". Chief editor of "Fishing gazette" Ihor Rieznikov described the project "Save the Dnieper together".
