In ZNU awarded winners of the contest for the best training unit in matters of labor protection and life safety
April 28, the World Day for Safety and Health, in Zaporizhzhya National University were awarded winners of the contest among Faculties and Colleges of our university for the best training unit in matters of labor protection and life safety.
This contest is conducted on the basis of the University in accordance with the order of the Rector of the State institution of higher education, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine "Zaporizhzhya National University", Mykola Frolov № 171 from 09.04.2014 and in order to implement the decision of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council from 08.08.2013 № 8 "On a regional program for improving safety, occupational health and the working environment in the years 2013-2017" and on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health.
Certificates of merit signed by Head of the Department of Social Insurance Fund against industrial accidents and occupational diseases of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhya Maryna Vasylieva and gifts to winners presented the guest of the University – employee of Social Insurance Fund against industrial accidents and occupational diseases Valerii Kovalov.
Valerii Kovalov welcomed all those present at the event with the World Day for Safety and Health and said that he was pleased to award the winners of this important contest. He also thanked the whole team of our university for the efforts that employees of Zaporizhzhya National University are working to improve the safety and health of its activities. Most significant result in this area of life in our university, according to Valeriy Kovalev, is that over the past two years, our university does not happen any accident at work. Also in his speech, Valerii Ivanovych wished further success to ZNU staff.
The best result of the contest, given in matters of labor protection and life safety were Faculty of Biology and Economics and Law College of ZNU. The 2nd place took a team of the Faculty of Law, and the 3rd place – Faculty of Journalism.
The Rector of ZNU, professor Mykola Frolov also congratulated the winners and noted the importance of such competitions to the future functioning of our higher educational institution.
