May 30 for students of Zaporizhzhya National University was held the presentation of training in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which was attended by the Deputy of Ukraine of VI convocation, Deputy Director of the Program «RADA: accountability, responsibility, democracy" Elina Shishkina, coordinator of the campaign presentation program Kateryna Sadokhina and program assistant coordinator Viktoriia Medvid.
Завдяки Програмі молоді громадяни України мають можливість взяти безпосередню участь у законодавчому процесі та процесах прийняття державних рішень, набути досвіду роботи в органах законодавчої та виконавчої влади, створити передумови для їх професійного зростання й успішної суспільно-політичної діяльності.
На початку заходу український політик Еліна Шишкіна зазначила, що у цій Програмі стажування мають можливість взяти участь кращі представники української молоді, які проявили себе знавцями з певних питань та мають активну громадську позицію.
During the meeting, students learn about the requirements and features of the competition to participate in the training, as well as the main components of the program (training, education, leadership capacity building and leisure).
Selection of participants of program takes place in two stages: submission of questionnaires and interviews with the finalists selection committee. Recruitment of trainees for 2014-2015 last from July to October of this year, such as training last 8 months (during November 2014-July 2015). Students can participate in it in two forms: full-time and part-time.
In addition, the program coordinator offered the audience to imagine themselves MPs and draft laws, as well as answer a few questions about the state system of Ukraine. All participants received gifts.
It should be noted that the training program was launched in 1995 with the Association of Former Members of Congress and the Supreme Council of Ukraine. In 2009, it was founded by graduates of the public organization "League of interns", which continued administration of the Program by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). From 2014 the Internship Program in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is a part of the project that implements the NGO "League of interns", with the support of USAID "RADA: accountability, responsibility, democracy", which is performed by the East Europe. Its graduates were about 1,300 people, including: Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, MP of Ukraine of VI convocation Ostap Semerak, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Andrii Mahera and Deputy of Ukraine of VII convocation Valerii Karpuntsov.
