The Rector of ZNU Mykola Frolov met with students from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

June 11 at Zaporizhzhya National University was held a meeting of the Rector Mykola Frolov with students from Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The event was also attended by Vice-Rector for Educational Research and Academic Affairs Oleksandr Hura, Rector’s Assistant on Educational Work Nataliya Voronova, Rector’s Assistant on General Affairs Dmytro Sekyrynsky, acting Rector's Assistant for Public Relations and Media Halyna Mykytiv, Head of the Department of Educational Work Svitlana Kondratenko, Faculty Deans and their deputies.
At the meeting the Rector Mykola Frolov reminded that it is the second similar meeting. Back in March, during a conversation with the Crimean leadership of our university students clearly expressed their position: Zaporizhzhya National University is interested in, so they continued to study at our university. As noted Mykola Frolov, administrations policy of ZNU over the past few months was meant to prove that this statement - a clear position is reinforced by concrete actions.
Mykola Frolov also said that the staff of ZNU with understanding and respect to the choice of the future will treat each of their students. Those who choose to become citizens of the Russian Federation, can still easily on par with Ukrainian students to study at our university. Also in this case, the relevant decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the change of nationality will not affect the cost of education for students, who are educated at the expense of legal or individuals: it will remain the same. Those students who are currently enrolled under the state order, continue to receive scholarship.
Moreover, with the new academic year, all Crimean students will fully provided with places in hostels, and issues related to the teaching and life of each of them shall be settled at the level of Faculty Deans and their Deputies.
So, Mykola Frolov responded to a number of current issues which currently care about students of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. So, the greatest concern for graduates raise questions relating to the procedure for early receipt of diplomas; possibility of working after graduation in the budget organizations of Crimea for anyone who was educated under the state order; last issue of scholarships and more.
Mykola Frolov promised to solve all these issues under the personal control and ensured that June 12 all staff of dean's offices already knows the information on the timing of diplomas receipt.
Also the Rector said that the leadership of ZNU is discussing with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine introducing soon forms of distance education, developed specifically for the residents of Crimea on the basis of our university.
At the end of the meeting Mykola Frolov wished all the students a cheerful mood and noted: «Solving of issues related to teaching students from ARC in ZNU, today - one of the priorities for its leadership. We wish you success and confident, that together we can overcome all odds».
