Within the Ukrainian culturological event "The great son of a great nation" dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko in Zaporizhzhya will be a monument restoration to the great poet. Funding for the project will be carried out both by the city budget, and at the expense of charitable organizations and patrons.
It is expected that the monument will be located in the center of the square "Theatrical" in front of Regional Music and Drama Theatre named after V.H. Mahara. Total project cost, including royalties, about 2 million UAH.
National Council of Zaporizhzhya and Zaporizhzhya region addresses the teachers, staff and students of Zaporizhzhya National University to provide all possible financial assistance for the manufacture and restoration of the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Zaporizhzhya.
Currently has launched a fundraising campaign for the monument restoration. Organizers urge all those wishing to join the proceedings of poet commemoration .
