The President signed the law that liberates full-time students and postgraduate students from mobilization

July 22, 2014 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the amendments to the law on guarantees for students and postgraduate students who are called up for military service. The document states that students and postgraduate students of full-time education are not subject to conscription during mobilization, for the special period.

According to the Law of Ukraine № 1575-VII "On Amendments to the Laws of Ukraine "On Education" and "On mobilization preparation and mobilization" for students, cadets, interns, clinical residents, graduate, doctoral and teaching, research and teaching staff for the period of their military service during the mobilization period is stored in a special place of study (including publicly funded for those who have studied these funds) in educational institutions.
Also, citizens who interrupted study or work in educational institutions because of conscription will be stored additional types of social and financial security, employment, position and previous average earnings will decrease the amount of tuition fees.
In addition, they will be eligible for deferment for drawing exams and state certification in education for the requested period.
The Cabinet of Ministers has to bring its regulations into compliance with the law within one month from the date of entry into force. The law comes into force from the date of publication.
