ZNU became the only university in the region, which was attended by participants of the information tour "Zaporizhzhya - the city of tourists"
September 25, about 90 members of information tour "Zaporizhzhya - the city of tourist" visited Museum of Natural Sciences of Zaporizhzhya National University. Also, Heads of educational work of Zaporizhzhya region schools, which organized tour of eminent places of the city, visited the presentation of two attractive tourist sites of our university: Ukrainian chamber and the Museum of History and Development of ZNU.
Our higher educational institution became the only, in whose departments organizers of the information tour - representatives of the NGO "Zaporizhzhya Regional Tourist Association" - included in the list of important tourist sites of the city.
Indeed, during an excursion of the Museum of Natural Sciences of ZNU, which held its director Oleksandr Korotia, many participants expressed their admiration on unique collection of stuffed mammals and birds of Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine and the world, as well as a huge collection of reptiles, fish, insects and birds' eggs. Guests interested in our university possibility to organize tours for school on the basis of the museum during their study relevant topics in the natural sciences. In addition, Oleksandr Korotia said, that now pupils come to the Natural History Museum. Most often such visits organizers are students of Biological Faculty, who pass pedagogical practice on the basis of city schools.
Also, teachers and members of the media interested in Zaporizhzhya presentation of Ukrainian chamber and the Museum of History and Development of ZNU.
At the end of their visit the participants thanked the representatives of ZNU information tour. Guests of Zaporizhzhya National University expressed the belief that necessarily will visit soon at our university again, but together with students who will be interested to learn more about nature, history and traditions of their native land.
Such visits, among other things, promote fruitful career guidance of our university among high school students as Zaporizhzhya, and regional institutions as middle level educational institutions.
