Zaporizhzhya National University is actively involved in various international projects relating not only to the development of science and education area, but also important social and political processes. Last year ZNU joined to the international network "Universities for peace", whose aim is the active participation of the university communities in the settlement of conflicts and implementing peacemaking initiatives. This year our Higher Educational Institution in the person of Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Administration Maksym Lepskyi acting network coordinator.
The project was developed at the International Center of University of diplomacy created by Caucasus Institute of Regional Security on the basis of Caucasus International University.
The motivation of creating a network was due to several factors. On the one hand, there are examples in history when members of university community carry out their contribution to the formation of hostile stereotypes summarizing scientific basis to justify the politics chauvinism and ethnocentrism.
