On November 27 at the Faculty of Journalism held a meeting with representatives of the Lviv School of Journalism - an Associate Professor of New Media Department of Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Natalia Gabor, Journalist Scientist of the Institute of Ecology and Mass Information of Ivan Franko LNU, Pavlo oleksandrov. During the meeting with the teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of ZNU and media representatives of Zaporizhzhya they discussed the topic "Media Enlightment of Current Mass Media".
Even before the thematic discussion representatives of Lviv high school gave lectures for students of Journalism, Historical and Philological Faculties on "Media Education in Ukraine and in the World, Ways of Implementation". They examined the question: what is media education and mediaprosvita, the status of the media in today's world, types of community response to media effects, forms and directions of media education, as well as some comparative points touched on national and foreign experience of journalistic practices in this area.
Next participate in a round table and discussed issues of media education were about 20 people - representatives of the teaching staff of the University and colleagues from other universities, mass media representatives and students.
Thus, in terms of democratization of media censorship and lack of control, personal responsibility now rests on the journalist who must not only have a good education, but also be able to foresee the consequences of the information given him what drew the attention of all participants of the meeting. And here it is not about the refusal of showing the truth, and the correct methods in accordance supply such information, as well as journalistic ethics.
During the discussion on the limits of permissible amount of negative information in the tape of news and current methods of supply such information, their views on this subject expressed its participants and guests.
