At the Faculty of Law held the second contest in linguistics knowledge of English for specific purposes
Today among students of the Faculty of Law hold the second contest in linguistics knowledge of English for specific purposes, which become traditional. Students’ Workshop on "Fields and Aspects of Law" is attended by representatives of the Department of Foreign Languages for Specific Purposes with guest – Kiron Reid, Liverpool Law School representative, administration of the facylty of Law, as well as 2nd and 3rd year students, who wish to demonstrate their level of awareness in foreign language for specific purposes.
Started the contestTetiana Kolomoiets, Dean of the Faculty of Law, who introduced the distinguished members of the Board and Heads of students' papers in English. The Academic Board includes: Kiron Reid, Liverpool Law School representative, Stanislav Ivanenko, Head of
the Department of Foreign Languages for Special Purposes and teachers of this department – Kateryna Radionova, Anzhela Volkova, Oleksandra Prykhodko, Olha Taranenko, Hanna Liushynska and Svitlana Vavilina. The event coordinator was Viktor Sabadash, Deputy Dean in Vocational Guidance.
During the linguistics context participants made a pre-prepared reports in English on one of the topics presented in the four directions - constitutional, labor, tort and criminal law, and answered the questions of Academic Board. Overall took part
11 students. Quite successful were speeches of all candidates, so it was difficult to define the best experts in English for specific purposes.
So, the winners were: Iryna Kravchenko, who took the 1st place, the 2nd place took Aryna Dikhtiar and Valeriia Kravchenko, and the 3rd place shared between Olha Hostishcheva, Kseniia Bashkatova and Yevhen Makliuk. They were awarded diplomas from the dean's office and prizes from organizers of the contest. Diploma for fruitful cooperation with ZNU, awarded – Kiron Reid, who has participated in events held by the Faculty of Law.
