During the visit representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University College of Tartu (Estonia) on January 11 attended Faculty of Law. Dignitaries discussed with the leadership of university graduate students and faculty prospects for further cooperation between our universities. Also at the meeting discussed the peculiarities of the language issues in Ukraine and Estonia, international activities of educational institutions, academic mobility of teachers and students in accordance with European educational space.
Kristina Kallas at the meeting stressed that Estonia colleges are equal to the higher educational institutions, and institutions are not middle-level education in Ukraine. She also noted that today in their colleges do not train lawyers, but the term they plan to develop this area of educational activity. The fact that college specializes in training teachers who could teach subjects in schools with several languages of instruction. Today in Narva - of Estonia, where the college is located, many Russian-speaking population, but teaching in higher Estonian educational institutions. Therefore, there is an acute need for a sufficient number of teachers who have not yet had only Estonian, but Russian and were aware of innovative teaching methods. However, just as important for the development of the region the presence of Russian lawyers - judges, lawyers, employees of the penitentiary system.
Thus, members of the college with great interest listened proposals of Dean Tetiana Kolomoiets on possible areas of cooperation with our university: perspectives for academic exchange of students and teachers training at a foreign university for teachers etc.
Tetiana Kolomoiets spoke about the peculiarities of studying at our university foreign students, stressing that for this ZNU created all necessary conditions. Guests interested in a story about the opening of the center of the German law on the basis of our university, the study of English throughout the period of study at universities, etc.
In addition, Dean of the Faculty mentioned that last school year defense of master's works held in two languages: Ukrainian or English at the choice of students was witnessed by relevant certificates.
Polish scientists are also interested in the fact that students of the second year have the opportunity to study on an individual schedule, combining study and work. In addition, during the study, a collaboration of faculty with government agencies, organizations and private law firms, lawyers future may take practice, build the necessary practical skills and get acquainted with potential employers.
Representatives of ZNU took the opportunity to ask questions about the features of higher education in Estonia, its judicial system, international relations Estonian universities, etc.
At the end of the meeting the teachers of the Law Faculty and guests exchanged souvenirs, and Kristina Kallas has made an entry in the book of honorable guests of the faculty, in which representatives wished ZNU subsequent achievements and victories.
