The speech of Volodymyr Ogryzko consisted of two parts: description of priorities of Ministry’s work and discussion with the audience. For instance, according to our guest, the European integration of Ukraine remains to be the principal orientation for practical work. “The entry of our state into World Trade Organization is no less important direction of progression. We have already passed 80 per cent of the way to WTO”, he said. “Relations with NATO, with the USA, regional cooperation and, above all, image policy – all this remains to be permanent guiding line of Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ functioning”. Volodymyr Ogryzko answered numerous questions of students and lecturers. Liberalization of visa regulations for Ukrainian citizens, scientific grants, as well as opportunities for students to apply for a job at the Ministry were among the points that principally interested the audience. As for the last question, V. Ogryzko defined that an applicant must have professional education and know at least two foreign languages. At the end of the meeting Prof. Sergiy Tymchenko, Rector of ZNU, thanked the guest for his visit, presented him with “Encyclopedia of the Ukrainian Cossacks” as a keepsake to remember the Zaporizhzhya National University and expressed his hope for effective collaboration.
