In ZNU prospects of development of German and Roman philology were investigated

The First International scientific-practical conference «New horizons of development of German and Roman philology», that passed on April 11-12 on base of the faculty of foreign philology of Zaporizhzhya national university, gathered more than 200 scientists (students, post graduates and lecturers) from 17 cities of Ukraine and Russia.

During plenary session the rector of ZNU, professor Sergij Timchenko greeted all present and thanked for organisation of the conference to representatives of the faculty of foreign philology, in particular, to its dean, associate professor Galina Moroshkina, to professors Iurij Zatsny and Anatolij Alexeev, et cetera. Then the dean told about present state and prospects of development of the faculty.

In general, participants of the conference were interested in broad sphere of problems, associated with prospects of development of foreign philology. That is why the conference worked in ten sections: lingual-cognitive investigation of linguistic units, actual problems of linguistics of text and discourse, lingual-cultural lingual-ethnic studies, comparative investigation of linguistic picture of the world, functional and lingual-pragmatic study of linguistic units, problems of translating and inter-cultural communication, actual problems of the world literary process.

At the final session the dean of the faculty, associate professor Galina Moroshkina stressed that the conference passed on a high level (in particular, 16 doctors of sciences, professors from leading universities of Ukraine and Russia participated in it), and also assured that direction of our university always gladly helps in question of organisation of such actons. The last point of the conference became the excursion to cultural-historic complex «Zaporiz’ka Sich» and to horse theatre on the isle Khortitsya.
