Omelianchyk L. was born in Vinnytsia region. In 1977 she graduated with honors from the Zhytomyr Pharmaceutical College, and in 1982 with honors - the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Zaporizhzhya State Medical Institute (SSI). From 1982 to 1985 she studied in graduate school at Zaporizhzhya State Medical Institute. In 1985, she defended her PhD thesis on: "The synthesis and biological properties of carbonyls of 9-thioacridon and its etox-, nitro-derivatives" in the specialty 15.00.02-"Pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosis".
In 1989 Omelianchyk L. started working in the Zaporizhzhya National University (ZSU). In 1992 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Synthesis, physicochemical properties and biological activity of S- and N- derivatives of acrydine, quinoline, pyridine". From 1992 to 2001 she managed the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology, taught a course of chemistry in the ZSU. From 1994 to 1997 he was the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, and from 1997 to 2000 - Vice -Rector for Educational Work of the ZSU. Since 2004 - Dean of the Faculty of Biology. With 2004 to 2014 headed the Department of Chemistry of Biology Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University (ZNU). In 1995, she was awarded the title of Professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology with a chemistry course. In 2007 he was elected academician of the National Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine. Scientific and pedagogical experience-42 years.
L.O. Omelyanchik manages the Scientific School in the field of "Bioorganic chemistry". Scientific direction of school: "The search for biologically active substances of synthetic and vegetable origin, the study of their physicochemical properties and biological activity". The result of the school's activity is the creation of biologically active substances of synthetic origin on the basis of nitrogen and sulfur of marching ozageterocycles, studies in the field of organic, bioorganic and pharmaceutical chemistry. Under her leadership, a number of diploma, master's works were prepared, 10 PhD and 1 doctoral dissertations were protected, and 8 state budgetary and 4 household topics were managed.
Author of more than 500 scientific works, of which 25 copyright certificates, 45 patents, 10 monographs, 1 textbook with MES stamp, 350 articles in professional editions of them 28 in Scopus and Web of Science, 85 methodological works. Under the guidance of L.O. Omelyanchyk held a number of all -Ukrainian and international conferences.
Editor -in -chief of professional journals "Bulletin of ZNU", "Issues of Bioindication and Ecology" by 2019 and electronic edition "Topical issues of biology, ecology and chemistry", chairman of the MAN Jury in chemistry, member of the jury of the regional Olympiad in chemistry, member of the jury of the All -Ukrainian Student Olympiad from chemistry, independent expert on review of school textbooks on chemistry, member of the specialized academic council D 17.600.03 at ZSMFU, a member of one -time specialized academic councils. Member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, section "Biology, biotechnology and current problems of medical sciences" and expert on reviewing school textbooks on chemistry at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, is a member of the April of the NAS of Ukraine.
She received gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2006) for his significant personal contribution to the development of education, training of highly qualified specialists and many years of conscientious work and was awarded with certificates of Honorary Certificates of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2004, 2008, 2015); anniversary medal "For the Development of the Zaporizhzhya Territory" (2007), anniversary medal "For the development of the Zaporizhzhya region" IIIS degree (2022), badge "Excellence in Ukraine" (1995), certificates and thanks of the regional state administration, regional councils, regional councils, regional councils Rector, academic awards: Order of St. Vladimir (2017), Yaroslav the Wise (2016), for scientific achievements (2018) and others.
From 2013 to 2016 he was awarded annually the diploma of the 1st degree in the University Competition of Scientific-Pedagogical Workers "Best Scientist of the Year" in the category "Professors".
