Born on in Zaporizhzhya.
In 1996, she graduated with honours from the Faculty of Chemistry at Dnipro State University, specialising in chemistry and teaching.
In 1999, she completed her postgraduate studies at Dnipro State University.
In 2000, she defended her PhD thesis at the Academic Council of the Dnipro State University of Chemical Technology on the topic: ‘Electrochemical and analytical characteristics of ion-selective electrodes reversible to triazine pesticides’, speciality 02.00.02 - ‘Analytical Chemistry’.
Candidate of Chemical Sciences since 2001.
From 2000 to 2006, he was the head of the testing laboratory of Khimlex LLC.
From 2006 to 2008, he worked at Zaporizhzhia National University as a senior lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, and since 2008 he has been an associate professor of chemistry.
He has been teaching at ZNU for 13 years.
The research interests of O.V. Luhanska are focused on the study of newly synthesized biologically active compounds. She conducts exploratory research within the following projects: «Physicochemical (UV, IR, and potentiometric) studies of the interaction between newly synthesized biologically active compounds, developed at the Department of Chemistry, and metals» and «Development of analytical methods in chemistry and biology based on physicochemical approaches,” state registration number 0115U004338.
In the course of her research, she demonstrates a high level of professional competence, profound knowledge of chemical disciplines and the subject area, as well as strong proficiency in modern research methods, data processing, and analysis.
She is the author of 204 scientific publications, including 21 peer-reviewed journal papers and 9 patents. After defending her dissertation, she has published 188 works, including 13 peer-reviewed journal papers, 9 patents, 18 educational and methodological publications, 1 monograph, and 1 textbook approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
She actively participates in international conferences annually, has publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, and prepares students for presentations at scientific and practical conferences.
Under her supervision, a fourth-year bachelor’s student in Chemistry, S.V. Bondarenko, completed a competitive research project and became a laureate of the regional competition for gifted youth in 2009 in the field of Pharmacy.
