Dubova Olena Vilenivna was born in 1960. Associate Professor of the Department of Landscaping and Genetics, PhD in Biological Sciences.
Dubova Olena Vilenivna graduated from the Biological Faculty of Dnipropetrovsk State University in 1985 with a degree in Biology. She began her career at the Zaporizhzhya National University in 1988 as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Zoology and Botany, since October 1992 worked as an assistant at the Department of Botany and Zoology of the Zaporizhzhya State University.
In 1995 she defended a dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree of PhD of biological sciences on the topic "Influence of environmental pollution on the physiological and ecological characteristics of the representatives of the genus Rosa L." in the specialty 03.00.16 "Ecology" (scientific advisor Doctor of Biological Science, prof. Bessonova V.P.). In 2002 she became an associate professor.
Actively introduces into the classroom the innovative technologies, uses the system MOODL in the educational process. She has about 90 scientific and educational-methodical publications. She has works on studying the condition of woody vegetation and soil cover of the city of Zaporozhye.
Member of the author's group on writing textbooks "Ecology of native land".
She takes an active part in the research work of the department within the framework of state budget and pre-contract issues, in particular, "Increasing the genetic variability of agricultural and ornamental plants using modern methodological tools and finding new genetic sources of productivity and product quality". Together with the students, the graduates study the stability of interspecific hybrids of sunflower to elevated temperatures and lack of water.
She works with gifted school youth, member of the jury of the regional stage of the Academy of Sciences.
Continuously improving pedagogical skills: in 2016 she was trained at the Center for Postgraduate Education of the Dnipropetrovsk National University at the Department of Physiology and Plant Introduction and studied at the ZNU School of Pedagogy under the Intensive English Language Program and received a B1 Certificate in English.
She was repeatedly awarded with certificates and thanksgivings of the rector of the ZNU, Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
