In 1992 Nelya Mykolayivna graduated from the Donetsk Institute of Soviet Trade with a degree in “Accounting, Control, and Analysis of Economic Activity”.
In 2002 she graduated from the Zaporizhia Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with a degree in "Law".
Since 2004 – Candidate of Economic Sciences.
In 2007 Nelya Mykolayivna received the academic title of associate professor of international economics.
On September 26, 2012, she successfully did her doctoral dissertation.
On February 26, 2015, Nelya Mykolayivna received the academic title of Professor of Accounting and Taxation.
In 2003 she fulfilled the qualification requirements for the professional category of Certified Public Accountant – a practitioner with the right to use the abbreviation SAR in her signature (Certificate of the International Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors dated August 15, 2003, 0000936).
In 2018 she received a B2 level certificate for foreign language proficiency (English).
Proskurina N.M. conducts active professional public activity, as:
- Chairman of the Committee for the Implementation of the Quality Control System of the Association of Ukrainian Audit Firms;
- Member of the Council of the All-Ukrainian professional public organization "Union of Auditors of Ukraine";
- Member of the Board of the Association of Ukrainian Audit Firms;
- Member of the Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Ukraine;
- Member of the Guild of Professional Internal Auditors of Ukraine.
Research interests: methodology and organization of audit, quality of audit services, organization of internal audit, the security of modern business, crisis management, problems of theory, and practice of accounting.
Author of more than 150 scientific papers on accounting and auditing.
Manages the research work of students. Under the leadership of Proskurina N.M. students of the department take prizes at the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in natural, technical, and human sciences in the field of "Accounting, analysis, and audit".
Since 2008 she has been a member of the branch competition commission of the II round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the field of "Accounting, analysis, and audit".
N.M. Proskurina has made a significant contribution to the research and development of methodological approaches to the application of auditing standards in professional practice and quality control systems for the provision of professional audit services.
The results of scientific research were used in the development of methodological materials for the Programs of continuous improvement of professional knowledge of auditors of Ukraine, approved by the Decisions of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine. As a member of the Coordination Council for Entrepreneurship Development of Zaporizhia City Council, she participates in the examination of projects on small business development at the regional level.
