From 2006 to 2013 she worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Department of Finance and Credit of ZNU, from 2013 to 2021. - Associate Professor of the Department of Staff and Marketing Management of ZNU of ZNU, from 2022 to date - Professor of Staff and Marketing Management of ZNU.
She was awarded numerous diplomas of university and regional levels for high achievements in scientific and pedagogical activity, conscientious labor, significant personal contribution to the development of science, training of highly qualified specialists in financial and economic sphere.
The sphere of scientific interests is the field of finance, management and human resources management, in which the professor is actively involved. Valentyna Mykolaivna successfully defended her PhD thesis at the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Donetsk) on the topic "Financial support of higher education in Ukraine" (specialty 08.00.08 - money, finance and credit) in 2008. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Zaporizhia National University (Zaporizhia ) on the topic "Ensuring the effectiveness of human resource management of machine-building enterprises" (specialty 08.00.04 - economics and management of enterprises by types of economic activity) in 2021. The attestation board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decided to award Helman Valentyna Mykolaivna the academic title of associate professor in the department of personnel management and marketing in 2019.
Valentyna Mykolaivna constantly raises her professional and general cultural level and pedagogical skills. She completed an internship at the Polytechnic University "Poltava University of Economics and Trade" at the department of personnel management, labor economics and economic theory (2019) and at the Khmelnytskyi National University at the department of marketing and trade entrepreneurship (2019). She attended the training on "Using interactive equipment and computer technology in the educational process" at the School of Pedagogy of the Zaporizhia National University (2019). The professor passed international advanced training (Webinar) at the Research Institute of the Lublin Science and Technology Park and the IESF International Foundation of Scientists and Educators on the topic: "Innovative forms of online learning using the Microsoft Teams and Office 36 Platforms" (2022), also increased qualification (took a course) on the Platform of massive open online courses Prometheus on the topic: "Academic integrity: an online course for teachers" (2022).
The professor manages a permanent student problem group (scientific group): "Theoretical and practical problems in the field of labor economics and personnel management." Valentyna Mykolaivna is the winner of the regional contest "Festival of Advertising" (2020), a lecturer at the city online seminar for economics teachers on the topic "Innovative tools for teaching financial literacy based on a competence-based approach" (2020), a coach of the School of Economics Faculty "I am aware of the professional future" for Zaporozhye schoolchildren (2020-2022). She is a member of the public organization "International Foundation of Scientists and Educators" IESF (2021-2023) within the framework of scientific and professional development.
Valentyna Mykolaivna is successfully engaged in scientific work, has more than 100 scientific and educational and methodological works: textbooks, monographs, articles in monographs, articles in scientific specialized publications of Ukraine and scientific periodicals of other countries (including in the edition of the scientometric database Web of Science ), numerous theses of reports based on conference materials.She was the responsible executor of the NDR "Improving the development of job instructions and the priority direction of improving the organizational and managerial work of the personnel service of the enterprise" (2016-2017), the head of the NDR "Theoretical justification, development and development of decision-making methods and models in the management of personnel of enterprises and organizations of the region" (2016-2020), executor of the National Research Institute "Strategic Management of Marketing Technologies of Domestic Enterprises" (2019-2022), currently the head of the National Research Institute "Socio-economic prerequisites, use and development of practices, tools and methods of effective management of human resources of domestic enterprises, taking into account modern globalization processes" (2021-2026) at the Zaporizhia National University. The professor is participating in the international project ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH GAP: "Digitalization of the economy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic as a strategic platform for economic development of the state" from 2022. Valentyna Mykolaivna systematically engages in educational and methodological work at the faculty, is the author of methodological recommendations for writing, design and defense of a qualifying thesis for bachelor’s degree holders in the educational and professional programs “Marketing” and “Personnel Management and Labor Economics” (2018), methodological recommendations for writing, design and defense of a qualifying thesis for holders of a master's degree in the educational and professional programs "Marketing" and "Personnel Management and Labor Economics" (2018), methodological instructions for completing a coursework in the discipline "Labor Market" for holders of a degree of higher education bachelor of the educational and professional program "Personnel management and labor economics" (2021), methodological recommendations for writing, design and defense of the qualification work for applicants of the master's degree of higher education of the educational and professional program "Personnel management and labor economics" (2022).
