In 1975 Shevchenko Natalia graduated from Zaporizhzhia State Pedagogical Institute. She worked as a teacher and later as a deputy director of the school № 23 in Zaporizhzhia. In 1990 she defended her PhD thesis "Psychological organization of speech acts as a means of learning foreign language". Since 1993 she has been a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy at Zaporizhzhia State University. In 2006 she defended her doctoral thesis "Formation of professional consciousness of practical psychologists in the higher education system". In 2007 she received the academic title of Professor in the Department of Practical Psychology. Since 2007 she is the head the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Educational Activity.
N.F. Shevchenko published more than 300 scientific works, in particular, she is the author and co-author of 8 monographs, 10 textbooks, 2 of which are stamped by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 5 scientific and practical manuals, the content of which is introduced into the educational process of leading universities in Ukraine. publications indexed in the scientometric database Web of Science, 1 article - in a foreign professional publication indexed in the scientometric database Scopus, more than 200 articles in scientific journals and collections.
N.F. Shevchenko is the chairman of the editorial board of the scientific edition "Problems of modern psychology", a member of the specialized scientific council D 26.053.10 at the National Pedagogical University named after MP Drahomanov and Academic Council D 64.609.03 at the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
Research interests: professional genesis of the consciousness of a specialist in the system of higher education; counseling psychology and psychotherapy.
