Graduated from Zaporizhzhia State University, majoring in French language and literature (1990).
From 1990 to 1994 she worked as a teacher of French and German at the specialized school of physical culture №18 in Zaporozhzhia.
From 1994 until now – at the Zaporizhzhia National University at the Department of Social Pedagogy.
In 2003 she defended her dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree of Ph.D in Pedagogics on the topic “Preparation of social pedagogues for work with elderly people” (specialty 13.00.05 - social pedagogy). In 2006 Matskevich Yuliana was conferred the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Social Pedagogy of Zaporizhzhia National University.
Author of more than 40 scientific and scientific-methodical works, including monographs, textbooks, methodical recommendations.
Research interests: social work in the system of social protection, social work with the elderly, andragogy.
