May 30 in Kiev Center for Contemporary Art "M17" was solemn meeting presentation of Academic Integrity Promotion Project . The event was organized by the American Councils for International Education, its main purpose was to introduce all project partners together, highlight the vision of each project partner. The event brought together all partners, representatives of universities participating stakeholders and implementing the principles of academic integrity. Representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University in the west were the coordinator of teachers, Vice-Rector for Science and Research Gennadiy Vasylchuk, Student Project Coordinator Oksana Kovtun and member of students' teams Artem Eremenko.
Event started Project Coordinator Taras Tymochko, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of such meetings for the successful continuation of the project. Inna Sovsun, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, said full support of the project by the Ministry of academic integrity and identified as a key element of quality of educational reforms in higher education.
On the need to combat plagiarism as a precondition for release of Ukrainian scientific community to the international level, said Spivakovsky Alexander, first deputy chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada. Director of the Office of American Councils for International Education Yarema Bachinskiy and Counselor for Public Affairs of the US Embassy in Ukraine Conrad Turner drew attention to the fact that only with the close cooperation of all parties is possible the effective implementation of the project.
Presentation zvershylas a partner project of the University of Fairfield (USA) – Doctor, Professor of Economics Katherine Nants and Doctor, Associate Professor of business ethics, director of the Center of Applied Ethics by David Schmidt, who offered a clear explanation and step by step algorithm of the Project.
After the accomplishment of official representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University had an opportunity to talk with as invited guests, and with coordinators from other universities, by establishing connections and planned actions plan.
