Students of the Faculty of Journalism listened to a lecture about checking facts by the experts of the project StopFake.org

June 16th Zaporizhzhya National University held a training "Introduction practice of checking facts in Ukrainian regions" of journalists of the project StopFake.org Artema Babaka and Oleksiia Nabozhniaka (techer of Mohyla School of Journalism). The main purpose of the event - is to teach students, journalists and civil society activists to verify information received from politicians, officials, mass media and other sources. A meeting with the support of the Association for International Affairs (AIA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (Transition).

The training program included five thematic sections: Introduction, checking facts in the world and Ukraine, true / false / half-truths, the possible submission of false information, the final part.
In addition, during the training discussed the future of the regional project in checking facts applications, reports, speeches, highlighting the performance of Zaporizhzhya politicians and others. Students took part in a debate and offered their ideas and views on the situation of checking facts in our region.
At the end of the event, summing up, each student concluded that exactly useful and new has received by this training. Also, all interested can ask questions to moderators.
