In 2007 Gerasimova V.O.  entered Zaporizhzhya National University, majoring in Accounting and Auditing.

From the second year she began to be actively involved in scientific activities. During 2010-2012 - Chairman of the Scientific Society of Students and Graduate Students of the Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhya National University. She received the title of "Student - Scientist of the Year 2011" of Zaporizhzhya  National University.

In 2012 Gerasimova V.O.  became the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in natural, technical and human sciences in the field of "Business Economics and Production Management".

In 2012 Gerasimova V.O.  received a master's degree with honors in "Accounting and Auditing" and was enrolled in the target graduate school of Zaporizhzhya National University, specialty 08.00.04 - Economics and Business Administration. She successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in 2015 on the topic "Implementation of budgeting in the management of innovation processes in the enterprise."

Gerasimova V.O.  has been teaching at the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance of Zaporizhzhyaa National University since 2015.

Following the results of activity in 2020 and 2019, Gerasimova V.O. was included in the top 10 in the category "Senior teachers, lecturers, assistants" in the ranking of research and teaching staff of the university.

In 2019 Gerasimova V.O.  passed an international internship at the University of Economics (Krakow, Republic of Poland) on the topic "New and innovative teaching methods".

In 2021 she passed advanced training at the National University "Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic" on the topic "Scientific and methodological approaches to teaching disciplines."

Along with scientific and pedagogical activities, Gerasimova V.O.  has practical experience in an audit firm for more than 9 years.

Gerasimova V.O. is the author of more than 65 scientific and educational works on the subject of the department, in particular: 19 articles published in scientific journals of Ukraine, 2 - in periodicals included in the scientometric database Scopus, 1 section in a collective monograph and 6 works of educational and methodical nature ( textbooks and guidelines).

Gerasimova V.O. participated in more than 15 national and international scientific and practical conferences and published 36 abstracts.

Gerasimova V.O.  was awarded diplomas and thanks from the rector for active participation in the scientific activities of the Faculty of Economics and the University.
