Lawyers of ZNU participate in the international seminar “Human dignity in the law of Germany, Poland and Ukraine”

Two representatives of the Faculty of Law of Zaporizhzhya National University, the Dean, Professor Tetyana Kolomoyets' and the Associate Professor of constitutional and labor law Mykola Martynov, October 10-11, visited the international German-Polish-Ukrainian seminar “Human dignity in the law of Germany, Poland and Ukraine” (Kyiv). The event was held in the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting Ukrainian and foreign lawyers shared their experience on the results of the international legal practice in this branch of law, also participated in the discussion with foreign experts on the problems of the new field of the Ukrainian law activities.
An international seminar was held at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The event was organized by public organization “Ukrainian-German juridical dialogue”, the Center of German law and the Center of Polish law of KNU. The workshop was opened by the welcoming remarks of the head of Legal and Consular Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Jens Kraus-Masse, the Pro-Rector of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Petro Bekh, and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law of International Relations Olesya Otradnova.
The participants of the meeting, scientists, professors, practicing lawyers, representatives of public organizaions, police and mass media examined the theoretical and practical issues of protection of human dignity, and the experience of the Polish and German colleagues in solving the problems of that field. In the framework of the reports there were discussed topics from history and theory of legal protection of human dignity in Poland, Germany and Ukraine, examples of practical implementation of this law, there was also talk about the development of the concept of “human dignity” in Ukraine, the legal protection of dignity considering German social and tax law, and connected with it activities of the police and the mass media, etc.
Ukrainian lawyers also had the opportunity to attend presentations of foreign colleagues and to participate in discussions about the implementation of the experience of Poland and Germany in the Ukrainian reality.
